Maude Richard's work has been displayed in galleries since 1999, from New York City, passing through Paris to her own land where she lives and works.

She explores several media: painting, etching, or video and installation.

Her persistent approach around the body has been loaded through all her investigations of multiples questions and symbolic from the start point of the otherness concept.

Her desire to evoke the absents has strongly influenced her orientation to the memory of the body.
The large memory, filled with our life experiences or printed of legacy lives ahead of us.

All her mises en scène (stagings) in various media speak about these layers of memory and invite the viewer to pass through every limit of space and time to re-connect to his/her inner self.

"We all are made of layers from old times to future ones. Limits do not exist in any direction. Limits are in our mind. We are all middlemen between forebears and descendants. Our life is not about denial or submission to our inheritance. Our life is to observe this wealth elevate it. My researches on memory is about connecting to ones' own life and, every limit erased, connecting to the whole, inside and outside."

Maude holds a masters in visual art from La Cambre (Brussels) and a master in history of contemporary art from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
